Star Wars to Start Shooting Soon
You would suppose that it should come as no surprise that production will begin on Star Wars: Episode VII, but it really does. Maybe it’s the fact that 2015 is a little closer than it seems, or maybe the fact that we are just too damned excited to wait for Star Wars, making any news exciting news. Is this what it felt like waiting for The Empire Strikes Back?
According to the film’s producer, Bryan Burk, everything seems to be on schedule for a 2014 production. Here’s what Burk had to say about it in an interview with Collider:
We’re progressing on a schedule to hopefully begin next year, or the beginning of next year, and the location is still kind of floating around in the air all depending on script and a whole bunch of other issues. As I just said, everything is kind of a free-flowing thing, and when we feel like the story level on this script and everything is really coming together and schedules are all working and pieces line up, we prowl ahead, and Star Wars will be no different.
Also, there are rumors circling the web that say that Scotland is being vetted for a filming location. But, as of right now, there has been no formal announcements made. In the coming months, I suspect I’ll be reporting on either released or leaked location scouting photos. And, I hope they have Darth Vader or Slave Leia crudely Photoshopped into them.
A Doctor Strange Movie In the Works?
Marvel Studios seems to be a film company who actually cares about it’s fans. Where else will you find a company that is ready and willing to pass along film information as is Marvel? And, where else will you find that information coming straight from the company president’s mouth?
Nowhere, that’s were.
Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, dished on future productions in an interview with Collider a few days ago (why does Collider get all the good stuff?). While on the subject on future films, Feige let it be known that Doctor Strange was on the list of future Marvel productions. If all goes right, Doctor Strange will be joining the Marvel movie universe as part of their Phase III productions.
Here’s what Feige had to say about the possibility of a Doctor Strange film, known as the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe:
Dr. Strange is something that I talk about often and it’s sort of next up for us to dig into and explore. Our executive producer of Iron Man 3, having done Captain America: The First Avenger and as that was finishing he started working on the bones that would become Iron Man 3, and now that he’s finished with Iron Man 3, he’s working on the bones that would become Doctor Strange. Now that Iron Man 3 is finished, some of our quote-unquote spare time is going to be devoted to trying to crack Strange.
Would you be excited to see a Doctor Strange film?
A New Trailer for True Blood, Season 6
Are there any Trubies left in the world? If so, it’s time to rejoice, because a new Season 6 trailer has hit the web. After the events of last season, the emergence of ‘Bilith’ and all that, where else can they go? Apparently they will try the ‘Kill-Main-Character-You-Love’ approach. Well, that’s what I’ve heard anyway.
Check out this trailer and see what you think. But, I will be honest, if Jessica Hamby is killed off, I am totally over this show. That’s because she’s the sexiest thing to happen to vampires since Summit Entertainment finished their Twilight Saga.
