Doctor Who: The Movie

I wish there was more Doctor Who news to comment on. Sadly this is not so. Which is why (as I’ve mentioned before) I have been a bit absent from here lately. As the summer and fall approach, things will certainly change. A new series of Who, complete with a new Doctor, is on its way, and I am sure there will be tons to talk about.

Until then, I’ve decided to share another project of mine.

A couple months ago, I started doing movie reviews with a friend of mine. We call ourselves 2 Non Critics. Naturally, we criticize things. The idea is that we’re two lifelong friends and film buffs, with very different tastes. Each week we suggest a movie for the other to watch. We hangout on Google. We talk about it.

We have yet to find the show’s voice, but we have a lot of fun doing it.

Usually I keep my posts about it separate from Let Us Nerd. This is because I don’t want to use the site as a place to advertise anything else I’m working on. A bullshit standard I put on myself for no reason.

Well, this week, I thought it would be fun to post our most recent episode here.

The 1996 Doctor Who TV movie is something I’ve been meaning to talk about for a while now. With the lack of Who-tivity to report on, now seemed like the perfect time. Having a weekly movie review show helps a lot as well. Given that my initial task with Let Us Nerd was to talk about Who, where better to premiere my co-review of it?

Next week, Non Critic Will and I are discussing the OTHER Doctor Who TV movie “An Adventure in Space and Time”. So, if no one minds, I may share that here as well.

  1. Hey, sorry, it took me a while to get back to you. Good review, and you brought up points I hadn’t thought of. I also like your comments on “Blink.” Glad you liked my article. Did you have any thoughts on what I said in Part I?

    • Wow. Thanks for watching!

I had a lot of thoughts on part one. Didn’t realize I hadn’t commented. Sorry about that.

Also, sorry the comment I have finally left is like a mini article all its own. Just nice to share ideas about the classic series.

And if you haven’t seen “An Adventure in Space and Time” definitely give it a watch if you get the chance.
