I was born and raised in a small town in the middle of nowhere in West By-God Virginia. I, unfortunately, attended public school where the only categories of person were the rednecks, the dirties, the jocks. So, that left me all alone in a category all my own. I hated sports, hated huntin’ and fishin’ and rubbin’ snuff, I showered daily, so truly I didn’t have a clique to call my own.
It wasn’t until my freshman year of college that I whole-heartedly learned what group I really belonged too. That group? The few, the proud, the bold, the nerds! My nerdy-ness began with my first ever viewing of Star Wars, Blasphemous, I know, who hasn’t seen Star Wars? I was shuffled to the movies to watch the rerelease of The Phantom Menace with my best friend who was silently ashamed of my Star Wars knowledge, or lack thereof. As soon as the movie was over, I made him take me home to watch the rest of them. I was so hooked, I skipped class for the next two days so I could watch the saga, (mainly the original trilogy, the JarJar Binks should be boiled in oil.)
After Star Wars came Doctor Who, then Batman, then Nightwing, and so on and so forth. So here I am now, college student, comic book collector and blog writer extraordinaire!
